Tiger Woods Returns to Competitive Golf After 13 Months

Tiger Woods will return to competitive golf for the first time in 13 months during the TGL season finale on Tuesday. The 50-year-old golfer has been sidelined due to a series of health issues, including a back surgery in September 2024 and a ruptured Achilles tendon in March 2024.

His last competitive appearance was in February 2025, and he has not played in the PGA Tour for 20 months. Woods has been involved in a non-playing role at Jupiter Link Golf Club throughout the 2026 TGL season, which features indoor PGA Tour events on a large screen venue in Florida.

He will replace Kevin Kisner for the season finale, having recently participated in a semi-final match against Rory McIlroy in Boston. Woods has expressed that his recovery has been challenging, with good and bad days, but he remains determined to compete again, having won five major championships in his career.
