Gombe Governor Sacks Aides Over Assault on Councillor in Viral Video

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has ordered the immediate dismissal of four aides allegedly involved in the assault on Councillor Abdulrahman Abubakar Sheriff from Shamaki Ward in Gombe. The decision was made following an investigation into the incident.

The Governor's spokesperson, Ismaila Uba Misilli, stated that the Governor's action was based on the findings of a special committee appointed by the state government. The Governor reaffirmed his administration's strong stance against violence, misconduct, and abuse of public office.

The dismissed aides are instructed to return government-owned properties in their possession.
