GoNigeria Calls for Deep Democratic Reforms in Nigeria, Expands Mandate Beyond Voter Mobilization

GoNigeria, under the leadership of Atebo Peterside, has called for extensive democratic reforms in Nigeria, broadening its focus beyond voter mobilization. The group's expanded mandate now encompasses advocacy for electoral, freedom of speech, judicial, and security reforms.

Notable figures like Abubakar Siddique Mohammed, Aisha Yesufu, and Arunma Oteh are part of this initiative. GoNigeria stresses the need to move beyond the electoral process and concentrate on building sustainable democratic institutions to uphold accountability, justice, and citizen safety.

The group highlights four pillars for democratic renewal: electoral reform to enhance legitimacy, protection of freedom of speech as vital for governance, judicial reform to uphold the rule of law, and ensuring security for life and property.
