Gov Abdulrazaq moves to eliminate security threats in Kwara

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State has pledged to eliminate security threats in the state through collaboration with community leaders and accountability measures. He directed the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) to take inventory of residents affected by recent disturbances caused by armed bandits.

The Governor commended the arrest of top terrorists by security agencies, including the leader of Ansaru, Mahmud Muhammad Usman, and his deputy, known as Malam Mahmuda. Abdulrazaq emphasized the importance of continued support for security agencies to maintain peace and security in the state.

He urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and assured that resources would be spared to protect lives and property. The Governor also highlighted the deployment of security operatives, including forest guards, to enhance safety in affected areas.

Collaboration with security agencies and community leaders is seen as crucial in gathering intelligence, preventing attacks, and curbing criminal activities.
