Gov Namadi Confident in Tinubu's 2027 Election Victory

Umar Namadi, the Governor of Jigawa State, expressed his confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win the 2027 presidential election. He stated that there are no opposing candidates, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, to challenge the All Progressives Congress (APC) in retaining power.

Namadi made these remarks while casting his vote during the APC presidential primary elections held at a polling unit in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area of Jigawa State. He reiterated his commitment to delivering on a target of one million votes for President Tinubu in the next general elections, citing widespread support for the APC across Jigawa State.

The governor noted the large turnout during the primary elections as a demonstration of confidence among party members and residents in the Tinubu-led APC administration. He described the outcome of the APC primary elections as a signal of expected overwhelming victory for the party in the 2027 polls, highlighting Jigawa as one of the APC's strongest support bases with a significant number of registered voters.
