Cross River State Governor Presents N780.6bn Budget for 2026 Fiscal Year

Governor Bassei Otu of Cross River State has presented a N780.6 billion budget for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly. The budget prioritizes sectors like education, health, and social protection, representing a 17% increase from the current year's budget.

The budget is designed to consolidate gains made under the administration's "people first" philosophy. The proposed budget breakdown includes N519.6 billion for capital expenditure and N260.96 billion for recurrent spending across various sectors.
