Gov Yusuf Launches Probe into Alleged Sale of NIMAP Abattoir, Promises Accountability

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has set up a panel to investigate the alleged sale of the Nigerian Meat Allied Products (NIMAP) abattoir by the previous administration led by Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The multi-billion naira facility, built to generate revenue and create jobs, was reportedly auctioned off.

The panel, chaired by Barrister Muhuyi Magaji, aims to recover public assets and recommend punitive measures if wrongdoing is found. The probe seeks to protect critical state infrastructure and address the alleged illegal transaction carried out for selfish interests.
