Nigerian Governors Call for Stricter Transport Safety Measures After Fatal Fuel Tanker Explosion

The Nigeria Governor Forum (NGF) urges enhanced safety protocols for transporting combustible materials following a petrol tanker explosion in Niger State that claimed multiple lives. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State and Governor Moham Umar Bago of Niger State expressed condolences.

The explosion resulted in 35 deaths and 40 injuries, with victims receiving treatment at various medical facilities. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) cautioned against dangerous practices like scooping fuel from fallen tankers to prevent similar tragedies.
