HYPREP Urges Ogoni Youths to Embrace Peace for Development

The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) has advised Ogoni youths in Rivers State that achieving a prosperous future for Ogoniland is contingent upon peace and unity. During a quarterly interactive session in Port Harcourt, HYPREP Project Coordinator Professor Nenibarini Zabbey stated that no region can thrive in an atmosphere of conflict.
He highlighted the ongoing cleanup project and various initiatives aimed at local development, including environmental remediation, livelihood restoration, and health interventions. Zabbey stressed that the success of environmental restoration is linked to peace and that the youth have a shared responsibility in securing Ogoniland's future.
He encouraged active youth engagement in the process and the pursuit of dialogue to address concerns. Ehioze Igbinomwanhia, Project Support Lead and Joint Venture Representative for Renaissance Africa Energy Company, expressed satisfaction with HYPREP's progress, noting improvements in Ogoniland's quality of life due to the projects implemented.
