Enugu Government Partners with Private Sector to Boost Tourism Development

Enugu State Government has handed over the management of its tourism sector to the private sector to drive development. Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Ugo Madueke, announced the move at the Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos.

Landmark Group will manage Nike Lake Resort Hotel, while Amber Hospitality will run Presidential Hotel Enugu. This initiative aims to revive iconic hotels, create jobs, and stimulate tourism activities to boost the state's economy.

The government is focusing on providing an enabling environment for investors to thrive in the tourism sector. The Commissioner emphasized the importance of the private sector as a key partner in growing Enugu's GDP and internally generated revenue.
