Tinubu's Ex-Aide Claims Nigeria is Under U.S. Influence

Baba Ahmad, a former aide to President Bola Tinubu, expressed strong criticism of the current Nigerian administration during an appearance on Arise Television. He accused the Tinubu administration of surrendering Nigeria to American influence, particularly concerning the country's security situation.

Ahmad lamented that the U.S. has intervened in Nigeria's affairs, which he believes has led to a perception of Nigeria as a colony. He referenced a previous U.S. congressional visit aimed at investigating allegations of genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

Ahmad noted that a U.S. congressman, Rilei M. Moor, has called for sanctions and the repeal of blasphemy laws in Nigeria as part of broader recommendations to address violence against Christian communities in the country.
