NNPCL CEO Ojulari Lauded for Reforms and Achievements

The People's Wellbeing Association (PWA) has praised Engr Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), for his unprecedented reforms and operational achievements since his appointment in April 2025. Comrade Abba Abubakar, head of the PWA, highlighted that Ojulari's leadership has led to a daily crude oil production level of 355,000 barrels, the highest in 36 years, surpassing the previous record set in 1989.

The group noted Ojulari's commitment to transparency and commercial discipline, particularly through the introduction of public disclosures of financial audits and monthly operational performance reports. Furthermore, Ojulari has faced political pressure while working to rehabilitate state-owned refineries and establish partnerships for global refinery operations.

The PWA has also called on President Bola Tinubu to ensure that pipeline surveillance contracts are equitably distributed among Niger Delta stakeholders to foster peace and security in the region.
