Group Rejects PDP's Zoning Plan for 2027 Presidential Ticket, Calls for Fair Process

The Gbenga Hashim Solidarity Movement in Ondo State has rejected the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) decision to zone the 2027 presidential ticket to the South, labeling it undemocratic. The group criticized the PDP National Executive Committee for allegedly attempting to impose a weak candidate from the South, particularly targeting Gbenga Hashim.

They accused powerful individuals within the party of manipulating the zoning arrangement to stifle credible aspirants from the North. The GHSM emphasized the need for a fair and democratic process in candidate selection, asserting that the PDP NEC lacked the legal authority to enforce such restrictions.

The group vowed to challenge what they perceive as a deliberate constitutional breach within the party.
