GTBank Launches Quick Airtime Loan for Instant Credit

Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd (GTBank), a flagship bank of GTCO PLC, has introduced a new digital solution named Quick Airtime Loan, designed to provide customers with instant airtime credit when their call balance is low. This service reinforces the bank's commitment to convenient access to financial services in Nigeria's rapidly evolving digital economy.

Customers can access airtime ranging from ₦100 to ₦10,000 by simply dialing 73790, with plans underway to expand the service to include data loans. The Quick Airtime Loan offers a transparent option with a charge of 2.95 percent, significantly lower than the traditional 15 percent charged by telecom providers for short-term credit.

Miriam Olusanya, Managing Director of GTBank, emphasized that this service reflects the bank's focus on delivering relevant digital solutions based on real customer needs. Financial technology analyst Tund Amolegb noted that GTBank is redefining micro-lending in the airtime space, leveraging its digital infrastructure to provide faster, cheaper, and safer access to credit, thereby enhancing financial inclusion for underbanked Nigerians.
