GTCO Posts N600.9bn Profit in H1 2025 - Strong Financial Performance

Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO) reported a Profit Before Tax of N600.9 billion in H1 2025, showcasing a strong financial performance. The company's core earnings, including interest and fee income, grew by 33% and 40%, respectively.

Despite a dip in Profit Before Tax by 40%, the group demonstrated growth across its asset lines and maintained a diversified balance sheet. Notably, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) remained robust, asset quality improved, and the Cost of Risk (COR) decreased.

The bank's loan book and net deposit position also saw positive growth from December 2024 to June 2025.
