Guehi Stays at Palace as Liverpool Deal Fails

Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi will stay at the club after a proposed transfer to Liverpool collapsed, despite both clubs agreeing on a £20 million deal. The England defender had completed part of his medical examination and agreed on personal terms until 2030.

Palace manager Oliver Glasner opposed the sale, emphasizing the need for a suitable replacement. The club had pursued other defensive targets but failed to secure them before the transfer window closed.

Guehi's future at Selhurst Park remains uncertain, with his contract expiring at the end of the season. If he doesn't renew, he could leave as a free agent next summer.

Glasner highlighted the importance of retaining Guehi, especially after his recent performance and goal against Aston Villa.
