Haiti and Türkiye Eliminated from 2026 FIFA World Cup

Haiti and Türkiye have been eliminated from the 2026 FIFA World Cup following their respective defeats in the group stage. Haiti faced Brazil in Philadelphia, where they lost 3-0.

Matheus Cunha opened the scoring for Brazil, followed by a goal from Vinicius Jr., who also added a third in stoppage time. This loss left Haiti at the bottom of Group C with zero points and a goal difference of -4, ahead of their final match against Morocco on June 24, which will be a dead rubber.

Meanwhile, Türkiye suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Paraguay in the San Francisco Bay Area. Matias Galarza scored the fastest goal of the tournament just 64 seconds into the match.

Despite a late push and a red card for Paraguay, Türkiye could not equalize, ending their campaign with two defeats and no points. This marks Haiti's first World Cup appearance since 1974, while Türkiye's exit comes despite high expectations.
