Tonto Dikeh Defends Mother's Day Message to Churchill

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh addressed criticism following her Mother's Day message to her former husband, Olakunle Churchill. In an Instagram story, she expressed gratitude towards Churchill, describing motherhood as a beautiful part of life and acknowledging his role as the father of her child.

Critics accused her of praising her ex-husband, but Dikeh clarified that Churchill is the only man who has given her a child, which is a significant reason for her gratitude. She emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in their co-parenting relationship despite their difficult past, which included public disagreements and accusations after their marriage ended in 2017.

Dikeh noted that they have recently decided to move forward peacefully to foster better communication for their child's upbringing. Churchill has since moved on, marrying Rosi Meurer, with whom he welcomed two children in March 2021 and October 2022.

In 2023, he dismissed rumors regarding the stability of his marriage to Meurer.
