Nigerian socialite Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as ChiefPriest, made shocking allegations claiming that his friend, Nigerian singer Davido, deliberately lost the Grammy to South African star Tyla due to his involvement in demonic activities. At the 2026 Grammy Awards, Tyla clinched the prize for Best African Music Performance, beating out top artists like Burna Boy, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid.

This marks Tyla's second win in the category, having first won in 2024. ChiefPriest took to Instagram to share his claims, stating that Davido was engaged in ungodly activities and encouraged the singer to move past the loss by releasing new music.
