Hilda Baci Announces Historic Jollof Rice Event For September

Nigerian chef and Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci has revealed plans to cook the largest pot of Jollof rice in a historic event scheduled for September 12, 2025. In partnership with the seasoning brand Gino, Baci aims to create a six-meter-wide and six-meter-tall pot of the popular dish.

In an Instagram post, Baci expressed excitement about realizing her dream, stating, "Almost two years ago, I dreamt of cooking the largest pot of Jollof Rice ever made." This ambitious cooking feat is set to be a cultural celebration, with Baci emphasizing the importance of storytelling through food, music, and culture. Baci's previous cooking marathon in 2023, known as the Hildebassi Cookathon, garnered global recognition and set the stage for this upcoming historic event.
