FCE Ofeme Ohuhu Umuahia Receives Scholarships from Host Community, Boosts Admission Drive

The host community of FCE Ofeme Ohuhu Umuahia in Abia State has significantly supported the Federal College of Education's admission drive by awarding scholarships to pioneer students. The Provost, Titus Ezeme, revealed that the community's backing led to the enrollment of 150 students, with 70 out of 150 students being sponsored by prominent community members.

Notable benefactors, including medical practitioners Michael Igwe and Chris Nwosu, awarded scholarships to 30 and 20 students respectively. The college recently held its maiden matriculation ceremony for NCE students, marking the beginning of academic activities since its establishment in 2025.

The Provost emphasized the importance of community support in nurturing the college's growth and development.
