House of Representatives Dismisses Alleged Gang-up Against Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Maintains Unity

The House of Representatives in Abuja dismissed reports of a gang-up against Speaker Hon. Abbas Tajudeen.

A national newspaper had alleged a showdown being prepared by lawmakers upon reconvening on September 23. However, the House spokesperson, Hon.

Akin Rotimi, clarified that the lawmakers stood united behind the Speaker. Rotimi emphasized that the House operated based on established parliamentary procedures, allowing members to express their opinions freely.

He noted that any reported expressions, even in informal settings, did not represent the official position of the House caucus. The statement aimed to dispel any insinuations of division within the House leadership, affirming solidarity with Speaker Abbas Tajudeen.
