Funke Akindele Aids Habeeb Peller During Legal Troubles

Habeeb Peller Hamzat, a popular content creator, revealed that renowned filmmaker Funke Akindele supported him during his arrest and subsequent time in prison in December 2025. This incident arose from a controversial TikTok live stream where Peller crashed a car, leading to his detention by the Lagos State police, who described his actions as extremely dangerous and a serious risk to the public.

Following his arrest, Peller was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. He later released a viral video promoting his movie "Love Note." In a recent public appearance, Peller was seen warmly greeting Akindele, with whom he exchanged pleasantries.

He expressed deep gratitude towards her for playing a crucial role during his legal troubles, stating that she helped him during his time in prison and throughout his life. Peller has since become one of Nigeria's prominent TikTok influencers, amassing 14 million followers, although his online activities have often sparked controversy.
