Road Crash Claims Life of ABU Law Lecturer Dr. Bebeji

On Saturday morning, a road crash along the Kaduna-Zaria Expressway resulted in the death of Dr. Umar Sani Bebeji, a 45-year-old Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. at Dumbin Rauga. Zubairu Lawal Bamalle, a childhood friend and colleague from the Faculty of Arts, confirmed the tragic news.

Dr. Bebeji held several significant positions, including Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Law and Coordinator of the ABU Law Clinic, where he was known for promoting clinical legal education and access to justice for underserved communities.

Originally from Bebeji Local Government Area in Kano State, he spent his childhood in Tudun Wada, Kaduna. He was buried on the same day at Kwanar Chanchangi Cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites.

Dr. Bebeji is survived by his wife and two children.

Bamalle expressed deep sorrow over the loss, highlighting Dr. Bebeji's contributions to legal education and mentorship.
