Nigerian actress Etinosa Idemudia shared in an interview how Mercy Johnson helped her when she faced threats from her ex-husband. The threats began after discussions about her past relationship during a media interview.

Etinosa's ex-husband became angry, leading to safety concerns. Etinosa initially tried to handle the situation quietly but eventually sought help on social media.

Mercy Johnson, with military connections, forwarded the matter to the Chief of Naval Staff in Abuja. Action was taken to ensure that Etinosa's ex-husband no longer harassed her.

Etinosa was previously married to Babatunde Solomon, a military officer, with the marriage ending in 2018. She later married Ighorosa, a lawyer based in Benin, with their divorce finalized in 2021.

They have a child together.
