Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Closes Historic Chapters with Infrastructure Reforms

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna made significant strides in infrastructure development by repealing a 66-year-old mental health law, addressing a 20-year road jinx, and ending a 10-year power blackout. The mental health law, dating back to colonial times, was outdated and treated mental health as a crime rather than a medical condition.

The road infrastructure had been neglected for two decades, isolating communities and hampering economic activities. Additionally, the 10-year power blackout had severely impacted daily life, schools, hospitals, and businesses.

Governor Uba Sani's interventions, including the repeal of the mental health law, road repairs, and restoration of electricity, have brought relief and development to Kaduna. The implementation of a 100-kilowatt solar mini-grid project in Damau community further demonstrates the government's commitment to improving infrastructure and livelihoods in the region.
