HP Urges Nigeria to Establish Ethical AI Education Charter

HP has called on governments worldwide, including Nigeria, to create a mandatory global AI education charter to guide the ethical and safe adoption of AI in learning environments. The report emphasizes the need for responsible AI deployment to improve learning outcomes and safeguard student rights.

It was produced in collaboration with the T4 Education global learning council, involving 100 experts and a survey of 2,860 students across 21 countries. The report highlights the increasing use of AI in education and the importance of ensuring compliance with ethical and sustainable standards, including data privacy and ownership.

HP stresses the necessity for policymakers to keep pace with the evolving education landscape to prepare students for an AI-driven future.
