Nigerian music producer and executive, Don Jazzy, revealed in a recent interview that he almost quit music after the end of Mo'Hits, the record label he co-founded with D'banj. However, he was encouraged by friends to start Mavin Records, which has become a successful home for artists like Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks.

Don Jazzy expressed that the experience made him stronger and taught him not to let anything break him. In 2024, Universal Music Group announced a major investment in Mavin Global to further accelerate its expansion.
