Burna Boy's Mum Defends Him Against Arrogance Claims

Bose Ogulu, the mother and manager of Nigerian music star Burna Boy, spoke during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Channel Television regarding claims that her son comes off as arrogant. She stated that she does not feel the need to apologize for how people perceive him.

Ogulu expressed that she is unconcerned with the labels attached to her son and emphasized her focus on his true self rather than public opinion. She articulated her belief that confidence should not be mistaken for arrogance, asserting that carrying oneself with confidence is part of self-respect.

Ogulu also noted societal expectations for individuals, particularly those from certain backgrounds, to behave in a reserved manner, and she disagreed with the notion of lowering oneself to meet these expectations based on skin color, nationality, gender, or appearance.
