Tinubu Defies Opposition, Stands Firm on Reforms

President Bola Tinubu, during a meeting at the State House in Abuja, reaffirmed his administration's commitment to its reform agenda, which he claims is already yielding results. He addressed the ongoing political pressure from opposition figures, particularly Rauf Aregbesola of the African Democratic Congress, who has called for his resignation due to worsening insecurity and economic hardships.

Tinubu challenged his critics, stating that no amount of pressure would deter him from his responsibilities. He emphasized that the reforms are necessary to correct the issues inherited from former President Muhammadu Buhari, whom he described as a partner in governance.

Tinubu's remarks came during a meeting with leadership coordinators of the Renew Hope Ambassador political mobilization network, where he encouraged support for his administration's policies ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle. The meeting included key figures such as Vice President Kashim Shettima and other APC leaders.
