Broda Shaggi recounts near-fatal shooting incident in 2026

Samuel Animashaun Perry, known as Broda Shaggi, recounted a traumatic incident where he was struck by a stray bullet on March 9, 2026, while filming a comedy skit near the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State. In a heartfelt social media video, he described the moment he realized he was injured after touching his hip and discovering he was bleeding.

His crew rushed him to a private hospital in Alakuko, Lagos State, where he received initial emergency treatment. Due to the severity of his gunshot wound, he was transferred to a medical facility in Ikeja for intensive care and later traveled to Dubai for successful surgery.

Broda Shaggi shared that he feared losing the use of his legs, which would have severely impacted his career. He expressed gratitude that the bullet did not hit a vital organ and thanked his fans for their support during his recovery.
