Gani Adams Warns Yoruba Monarchs of Growing Disunity and Political Interference

Gani Adams, the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, expressed concern over increasing disunity among Yoruba monarchs during the 2026 Oodua Festival at the historic Enuwa Palace Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State. He cautioned against internal rivalries and political interference that weaken traditional institutions and threaten Yoruba unity.

Adams called for urgent intervention by political leaders and elders to mediate disputes and promote peace among monarchs to ensure the stability and development of Yoruba communities.
