Clar Uncovers Ethan's Secret While Searching for Earring

Clar and Ethan had been married for seven years, enjoying a seemingly perfect relationship characterized by thoughtful gestures and shared milestones. However, Clar begins to notice small changes in Ethan's behavior, such as taking his phone into the bathroom and being secretive about his side of the bed.

On the evening of a formal dinner party hosted by her boss Phoebe, Clar accidentally drops her favorite earring behind their heavy wooden bed frame while getting ready. As she lifts the mattress to retrieve it, she reflects on the subtle signs of unease in their marriage, including Ethan's frequent work trips to the same town and his reluctance to discuss his father.

Despite her past experiences with infidelity in her family, Clar has avoided suspicion. The narrative captures the tension between her love for Ethan and the growing doubts about their relationship.
