Bwala Denies Criticism of Tinubu on Al Jazeera Interview

Bwala, a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, denied ever criticizing Tinubu during an appearance on Al Jazeera's program hosted by Mehdi Hasan. The episode examined the theme of "Nigeria: Renewed Hope or Hopelessness?" and included a reference to a clip from January 22, 2023, where Bwala allegedly claimed that Tinubu created militias and corruptly influenced elections.

When Hasan confronted Bwala with this past statement, he denied making such remarks. Bwala also addressed concerns regarding a clip circulating on social media that suggested members of Tinubu's camp threatened critics, stating he never made such claims.

He explained that his previous statements were part of political rhetoric at the time and are no longer relevant in his current role defending the president.
