Gusau Receives Blueprint Award for Football Infrastructure

Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), expressed his appreciation for being recognized with the Blueprint Award as the Football Infrastructure Icon of the Year during a ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, in Abuja. He praised Blueprint Newspaper for its commitment to ethical journalism and its role in stabilizing the football ecosystem in Nigeria.

Gusau noted that he was initially surprised by the nomination but decided to accept it wholeheartedly after reflecting on the significance of infrastructure in sports. He highlighted the lack of infrastructure as a major issue hindering Nigeria's sports development, particularly in light of the country's failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Gusau acknowledged the achievements of the Super Falcons and Super Eagles during his tenure and thanked the award committee for recognizing his efforts in providing essential facilities for player development. The award ceremony will take place at the Shehu Yar'Adua Center in Abuja.
