Ibom Air Implements NCAA's Power Bank Safety Directive

Ibom Air has fully adopted the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority's (NCAA) directive concerning the carriage of power banks on commercial flights, reaffirming its commitment to passenger and crew safety. The airline has introduced critical new restrictions, stating that power banks must be stored in cabin luggage, either in the seat pocket in front of the passenger or in a carry-on bag kept within easy reach throughout the flight.

Power banks are prohibited from being placed in overhead luggage bins during flights. The NCAA's directive is in line with global aviation safety standards and aims to mitigate risks associated with lithium battery devices, particularly in light of recent incidents involving lithium battery fires.

Devices exceeding 160 watt-hours are strictly prohibited on board. Ibom Air emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety protocols and continues to work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with safety directives.
