Ibom Air Passenger Emmanson Remanded In Kirikiri For Assaulting Crew

Ms. Comfort Emmanson, a passenger on Ibom Air, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly assaulting airline crew members.

The incident occurred during a flight from Uyo to Lagos, where Emmanson reportedly refused to switch off her mobile phone, verbally abused fellow passengers, and physically attacked crew members upon landing. She is accused of tearing off a crew member's wig, hitting them with footwear, and attempting to seize a fire extinguisher.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has warned of enforcement action against unruly passengers, with Ibom Air banning Emmanson from future flights. The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, confirmed the incident and emphasized the serious safety threat posed by such behavior.

Emmanson has been charged in court, highlighting the consequences of disruptive conduct on flights.
