ICD and LCCI Push for Cocoa Value Addition in Nigeria to Boost Exports

The International Cocoa Diplomacy (ICD) and Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) are urging for enhanced value addition in Nigeria's cocoa sector to shift from raw exports to local processing and manufacturing. Nigeria, despite being the 4th largest global cocoa producer, processes less than 2% of its cocoa into finished products like chocolate.

The upcoming Eko Chocolate Show 2025, organized by ICD and LCCI, aims to promote cocoa culture and commerce, showcasing Nigeria's potential in the global chocolate industry. The event will feature exhibitions, films, art festivals, and concerts to celebrate Nigeria's cocoa heritage and advance value addition in the sector.
