Nigeria's ICT Sector Boosts GDP by 11.18% in Q2 2025

Nigeria's Information Communication Technology (ICT) sector contributed 11.18% to the GDP in Q2 2025, marking a significant growth driver. The sector, covering telecommunications, information services, and broadcasting, showed a real growth rate, doubling from the previous year.

The National Bureau of Statistics reported a strong performance by the ICT sector, aiding overall GDP expansion. Despite a slight slowdown compared to the previous quarter, the ICT industry remains a key player in Nigeria's economic growth.

The sector's nominal GDP contribution in Q2 2025 was marginally higher than in Q1 2025, showcasing its resilience and importance in driving the country's economic development.
