Oshiomhole Urges Politicians to Stop Buying AK-47 for Jobless People to Curb Criminality

Former Edo State Governor Oshiomhole proposed that the issue of criminality in Nigeria could be significantly reduced if politicians refrain from buying AK-47 for unemployed individuals, especially during elections. Speaking during a Senate plenary session, he emphasized the negative impact of distributing arms to jobless people on election processes.

Oshiomhole also expressed his lack of support for holding elections in the country until the issue of arming the unemployed is addressed. This statement comes amidst growing concerns about insecurity and electoral violence in Nigeria.
