IFC Partners FCMB to Empower Nigerian Women Entrepreneurs

FCMB has partnered with IFC to support Nigerian women entrepreneurs through the Goldman Sachs Women course. This initiative aims to promote entrepreneurship and economic growth by providing practical education and interactive activities to women in business.

The program, built by Goldman Sachs and delivered by the University of Leeds, offers ten courses to SMEs, with eligibility to join the Women alumni community. FCMB's SheVentures initiative has already empowered female entrepreneurs in Nigeria by providing loans totaling N800 million and offering training and mentorship to thousands of SMEs.

Managing Director Yemisi Edun highlighted the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs for driving innovation and job creation, while George Ogbonnaya emphasized the bank's commitment to SMEs and promoting gender equality in the entrepreneurial landscape for sustainable growth.
