IGP Visits Kebbi After Schoolgirl Abductions, Meets Top Security Officials

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) visited Kebbi State following schoolgirl abductions, meeting with top security officials and Governor Nasir Idri. The visit comes after a wave of kidnappings in Kebbi, Niger, and Kwara states.

The recent incidents include the mass abduction at a school in Maga and an attack at St. Mari's school in Papiri, Niger State.

The IGP's visit follows a high-level security briefing with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja. The gunmen killed the vice principal during the Maga attack, with some students abducted and later escaping.
