Iheanacho's Late Goal Secures Celtic's 2-1 Win Over Hibs

In a tightly contested match at Easter Road, Celtic defeated Hibernian 2-1, with Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the decisive goal in the 72nd minute. The victory allowed Celtic to level points with leaders Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic took an early advantage when Hibernian's Jami McGrath was sent off in the 21st minute for a lunging tackle on Alistair Johnston. Daizen Maeda opened the scoring for Celtic in the 41st minute, finishing from Johnston's low cross, although the goal was initially ruled offside before being overturned by VAR.

Hibernian equalized just before halftime when Joe Newell bundled the ball home following a weak punch from Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo, despite protests from Celtic players that the ball had brushed a midfielder's arm. After struggling to create clear chances in the second half, Iheanacho finally broke through, chesting down a corner and finishing calmly from five yards.

Hibernian nearly equalized late on, but substitute Ant Suto fired into the side netting.
