IITA and UN Partner to Boost Nigeria's Food Security Through Agriculture Transformation

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and the United Nations (UN) are collaborating to advance agricultural transformation in Nigeria for improved food security. During a high-level dialogue in Abuja, Simeon Ehui, IITA Director General, and Moham Fall of the UN emphasized the importance of sustainable agriculture, youth agripreneurship, and resilient food systems.

IITA showcased innovative technologies like semi-autotroph hydroponics to boost crop production. The partnership aims to scale up successful agricultural practices from labs to farmers, supporting Nigeria's agricultural transformation and sustainable development goals.
