Nigerian musician 9ice, born Abolor Adegbola Akande, revealed his intention to get a tribal mark at age 50 to honor his father, who had the mark. In a recent TikTok video, the 45-year-old singer from Ogbomosho shared insights into his music career, known for its Yoruba language proverbs and unique delivery style. 9ice gained fame with hit tracks like "Gongo Aso" in 2008 and has released several albums and singles.

In an interview with Nancy Isime in August 2025, he also discussed his traditional worship practices and regret for not embracing them earlier.
