Akpabio Calls for Unity and Hope for Nigeria's Future

During an Inter-Denominational Church Service, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, assured Nigerians that the country would overcome its current challenges and achieve peace and prosperity. Speaking on the theme “Keeping Faith with Nigeria,” he called for the rejection of tribalism, bitterness, and religious intolerance, emphasizing the importance of unity and patriotism.

Akpabio highlighted the responsibility of the current generation to leave a legacy of courage and unity for the younger generation. He reflected on Nigeria's challenges, including insecurity and division, and urged citizens to support efforts aimed at rebuilding the nation.

He also acknowledged the difficult economic reforms being undertaken by the current administration, urging Nigerians to remain supportive despite the burdens these reforms may impose. Akpabio noted that democracy thrives on credible elections and accountability, and he called for a collective effort to transform Nigeria’s economic potential into sustainable development.
