India-AI Impact Summit 2026: India-Nigeria AI Collaboration

The India-AI Impact Summit 2026, announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to take place on February 19-20, 2026, in New Delhi. This summit marks the first global artificial intelligence summit hosted by India, focusing on collaboration between India and Nigeria.

It aims to address the rapid proliferation of AI and its implications for employment, data sovereignty, and the digital divide. The summit's core theme, inspired by Modi's mantra "Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukha," emphasizes welfare and happiness.

It will feature three foundational pillars, or "sutras," that guide AI's role in human progress, cultural respect, and sustainable development. The summit intends to create large-scale public AI infrastructure, enabling Nigerian stakeholders, including government officials and entrepreneurs, to develop AI solutions without prohibitive costs.

The event will also highlight concrete use cases in agriculture, healthcare, education, and climate resilience, aligning with Nigeria's policies on satellite data analytics and AI in primary healthcare.
