Modi Forgives Protesters Amid Political Setback

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated he forgives the protesters who abused him during recent youth-led demonstrations, which posed a significant political challenge to his government. The protests, organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), erupted over examination paper leaks and expanded to broader frustrations regarding unemployment and governance.

Modi, in a video posted on Instagram, condemned the abusive language directed at him and his late mother, emphasizing that "mistakes made in youth" should be corrected through guidance rather than legal action. The protests, which began last month, resulted in the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Modi has increasingly utilized Instagram to communicate with the youth, as the CJP has gained substantial support on the platform, amassing over 26 million followers since its launch in May. Meanwhile, police have sought to remove abusive content targeting Modi from social media platforms.
