INEC Chairman Vows Credible Elections in Nigeria After Swearing-In

The newly sworn Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Sanusi Amupitan, vowed to ensure credible, free, and fair elections across Nigeria. He took the oath of office at the Presidential Villa in Abuja following the National Economic Council meeting.

President Bola Tinubu emphasized the importance of cooperation with stakeholders for credible elections. Amupitan, aged 58, succeeded Professor Mahmood Yakubu, whose tenure ended recently.
