Adeleke Receives Certificate of Return in Osun State

Governor Ademola Adeleke was presented with a certificate of return by Prof. Kunle Ajayi, the National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) representing the South-west, after winning the Osun State governorship election.

In his speech, Adeleke expressed sorrow over the violence that occurred during the election, stating that no political ambition is worth the loss of life. He acknowledged the victims of electoral violence and announced that the Adeleke family, through the Springtime Development Foundation, would provide full scholarships up to university level for the children and dependants of those who lost their lives.

Additionally, he revealed plans for a N500 million Election Violence Victims Endowment Fund to assist verified victims and their families, emphasizing that support would be distributed without regard to political affiliation. Adeleke framed the certificate as a renewed contract with the people of Osun State, urging unity and healing following the election.
